FREQUENTLY ASKED
|
*** Hurricane Recovery Information ***
Q: Why do you charge $65 to come evaluate my palms?
A: All of our field representatives and technicians are ISA Certified Arborists.
We have the expertise and experience to properly treat your palms. We charge $65 for our
expertise, our time spent evaluating and taking inventory of the palms, diagnosis of the
palms and recommended course of action. If you decide to have us treat the palms,
that $65 is applied toward the cost of service. Occasionally, the problem cannot be
diagnosed with certainty from a visual inspection. If this is the case the charge is
waived. If the palm is dead, the fee will also include a letter to your insurance
company in case you wish to claim it on your homeowner's policy. This scenario is
most common on a very tall palm that has been struck by lightning.
Q: What areas do you service?
A: We service most of Broward County and Palm Beach County from Boca
Raton north to Delray Beach.
Q: How often should palms be fertilized?
A: The Palm Tree Doctor recommends fertilizing palms two or three
times per year, depending on soil conditions and palm variety.
Q: Do you guarantee survival of treated palms?
A: No. Unfortunately, there is no guarantee that distressed palms
will recover, although we can estimate the chances of recovery. If there is no chance, we
will not treat the palm.
Q: Does the treatment make the palms look better
right away?
A: No. The treatment only affects the new growth that comes out of
the crown. It will not make any existing growth look any better.
